Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter, cooled
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 9 inch pie crust, unbaked

Instructions
 

  • 1) In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar. I like to use an emulsion blender, but you can just whisk them together. 
    2) Whisk or blend in remaining ingredients until smooth.
    3) Pour into prepared pie crust.
    Bake at 400 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
