Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Beat butter, the brown sugar, the granulated sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in the flour mixture and stir in the morsels.
Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet or lined with parchment. I usually put 3 cookies per row, 2 inches apart on a half sheet pan.
Cook 9-11 minutes until golden. Cool on the sheet pan for 2 minutes, then remove to a rack to finish cooling completely.
